Description: This contract involves excavation of topsoil to form the laneways followed by backfilling and compaction of the extracted laneways with gravels.
Additional works include installing soak pits, sumps, fences and entrance gates.

Contract: C1022-17/18 View Hill Quarry Management and Operation

Client: Environment Canterbury Regional Council

Contract Period: 5 years from January 2018

Description: The contract involves the management and operation of View Hill Quarry as well as extracting, grading, stockpiling and loading out of river protection rock associated with the capital and maintenance works on both the Waimakariri River and other rivers and streams in the wider region.

Contract: C2019-1 Okuru, Camelback and Inchbonnie Quarry Management and Operation

Client: West Coast Regional Council

Contract Period: 2 years from August 2019 with a potential reward of 2 years to a maximum of 6 years

Description: This contract involves the management and operation of the three West Coast Regional Council quarries; Camelback Quarry, Inchbonnie Quarry, Okuru Quarry. Work includes drilling and blasting as and when required, managing quarry waste and maintaining rock stockpiles at each quarry to be used for maintenance and capital works.

Contract: NZTA 63147 West Coast Network Outcomes Contract (NOC)

Client: New Zealand Transport Agency

Contract Period: This contract commenced 1st September 2015 and has a 7 year contract period with a potential reward of an additional 2 years.

Description: This contract is for the maintenance, management and delivery of services for 886km of state highway within the Contract Area Network.
MBD Contracting is one of a number of local contractors that have been engaged by Fulton Hogan to assist them with the delivery of the contract for New Zealand Transport Agency. MBD’s role within the contract is to carry out and complete the pavement rehabilitation, rock protection, river works and emergency works.
