Technology

In today’s fast-paced world, technology has become an integral part of nearly every industry, revolutionizing how we approach tasks and solve problems. From advanced machinery to cutting-edge software, technology enhances efficiency, precision, and productivity. By integrating the latest technological innovations, we can streamline operations, gain deeper insights, and achieve unprecedented levels of accuracy and performance. Embracing these advancements not only keeps us competitive but also drives progress and growth, ultimately transforming challenges into opportunities for success.

MBD’s investment in technology is more than just a financial strategy—it’s a gateway to the future. Recent enhancements include:

  • Installing Trimble 3D GPS machine control systems in our graders and excavators has significantly improved our operations. It has enhanced digging, excavating and grading efficiency, minimised rework, optimised material usage, and improved project management. This technology has led to cost savings, reduced waste, and environmental impact while ensuring high precision and operational efficiency.
  • Implementing electronic logbooks and pre-start checks. It ensures compliance with legislation and has enabled real-time data that leads to efficient handover between administration and workshop mechanics. This has streamlined our processes and improved overall efficiency. Additionally, it has minimised paper waste, aligning with our company’s sustainability goals.
  • All our trucks and trailers are fitted with a fleet management system EROAD, which gives us complete visibility and tracking of all vehicles at any time. It also helps us monitor and evaluate our drivers’ performance.
  • We have implemented SI Lodec Weighing systems on all our truck and trailer units and have Loadrite installed on our excavators. These advanced systems have had a significant positive impact on our operations. They have effectively prevented under- and overloading, minimised double handling of material, and eliminated overload fines. In addition, these systems have improved operator loading accuracy, increased efficiency, and removed the need to count loads manually. By integrating these systems, we have achieved precise weighing and streamlined our loading processes, avoiding fines and optimising our operations.
