Taramakau Road Bridge
Contract: NZTA 63202 Taramakau Road Bridge
Client: New Zealand Transport Agency
Contract Period: November 2016 – July 2018
Description: This contract is for the construction of a realigned section of State Highway 6 approximately 15km south of Greymouth. The section is 1.4km long and includes 2 bridges; (one that spans the Taramakau River and one that spans the Hokitika Industrial rail line). Currently SH6 crosses the Taramakau River using a single rail line bridge. The new bridge will be approximately 25m downstream from the rail bridge and the new road alignment will remove road and rail conflict through a rail overpass structure within the works.
